Link your presentation to another web page

Link your presentation to another web page

You can leverage your presentation by publishing it
to a Web server and then linking to it from another
presentation. For example, if you publish a
presentation about your products to the Internet, you
could link to it from a presentation about your
company’s marketing efforts.

The key to successfully linking to an online
presentation is browsing to it, and then creating the
hyperlink to it. When you publish an online
presentation as a Single File Web Page, you are
publishing to a path such as
www.server.com/filename.mht, but when it is
viewed in the browser, it resolves to an address of
mhtml:http://www.server.com/filename.mht!filename
_files/frame.htm. You can link to the resolved
address to make the presentation load as quickly as
possible.

When you create a hyperlink to an online
presentation, you can browse to the presentation to
which you want to link, after which you are returned
to the presentation to complete the steps for creating
the hyperlink.
