Change the target screen resolution for web-based presentations
You can optimize your presentation for a specific screen
resolution to give it the best possible appearance.
When you publish your presentation online, it is often
difficult to anticipate the size at which viewers will
have their screens set. One user may have an older
monitor that is set at a smaller size of 640 pixels
wide by 480 pixels high. Another may have a newer,
larger monitor that is set at 1024 x 768.
However, today’s corporate users are likely to have
similar hardware and screen resolutions. When you
know that users have newer monitors, for example,
you can predict that most will view presentations at
800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. Therefore, you can set
PowerPoint to publish online presentations in a
format that looks best at those screen resolutions.
You can also set the screen resolution to work best
on smaller screens, such as those used on notebook
or handheld devices. For example, a presentation for
a sales force using handheld devices could be
optimized for 544 x 376.

Include It!
You can optimize the screen resolution
when you want to display the content
of a frame in another browser
window. For example, if you publish
at a smaller screen resolution, you can
bring the presentation into another
Web page and still have room for
additional content.
